In case you didn’t get the memo…today is this year’s Cyber Monday. For definition, see above. As I mentioned in a previous post, black Friday is the worst, therefore, I am changing black Friday to sleep-in Friday, and celebrating Cyber Monday, instead. Spend the money you would have wasted on gas and buying frivolous items at the butt-crack of morning on a spa day. Or, have a cyber Monday party and invite all the girls over, munch on appetizers and sip wine, swap online coupons, discuss holiday gift ideas, and share your tips about the best deals for everyone on your gift list. However you’re celebrating Cyber Monday, make it relaxing and peaceful and be glad you skipped out on Black Friday this year.

Cyber Monday is quickly approaching – this year it is November 30th. As I mentioned in a previous post, black Friday is the worst, therefore, I am changing black Friday to sleep-in Friday, and celebrating Cyber Monday, instead, which is actually a Tuesday this year. If you need an excuse to hang out with the girls, then make black Friday an all-girls day. Spend the money you would have wasted on gas and buying frivolous items at the butt-crack of morning on a spa day. Or, have a cyber Monday party and invite all the girls over, munch on appetizers and sip wine, swap online coupons, discuss holiday gift ideas, and share your tips about the best deals for everyone on your gift list.
A few tips to get you started:
- Sign up now for all the major online retailers’ twiiter and facebook updates. This way, you won’t miss out on the exclusive deals, coupons, and deadlines for this year’s holiday season.
- Start scouring the online retailers coupon websites early.
- Start making lists so that you won’t be scrambling for holiday gift ideas at the last minute. Gift idea lists make the entire process smoother and more manageable. You may also be able to discover where you could buy multiples of a certain item in order to get a quantity discount or combined order shipping discount, such as in websites like Amazon.
- Send out an evite to all your girlfriends and arrange the party like a holiday pot-luck in order to cut down on costs.
